    there are some beginner level shootng courses, inquire at your local gun store.

    make sure you understand the law about keeping the gun (concealed/un-concealed) etc how to carry in vehicle , work safety laws about the gun being present in your vehicle at work parking site.
    if you understand the law well then there shoudl not be any issue.

    Store's are on 6 month back order on the top selling ones. Even if you get one, getting ammo is a big challenge now a days. They are also back ordered for many days due to hign demand.

    I bought some decent amount of gold with my glock too ;)

    Dollar may crash any day in next 2-3 years. that is day , when things will go out of control.

    In 2010 - around 20K visa is issued in EB2 and around 3K in EB3...

    Does anyone know the exact demands for each year from 2005 ,2006,2007,2008, 2009 ,2010,2011 -- then it will give clear picture .

    Arctic Butterfly works great. I picked one up in Toronto at Henry's after shooting some photos of the CN Tower. Noticed I had a few spots and sure enough they were on the high pass filter. I did attempt to blow the particles off but they were not budging. I decided to deploy the butterfly and it worked just fine. After two passes the dust was gone. I didn't find it a difficult or stressful task and never felt as if I was "at risk" of damaging my camera. My two cents.

    Thank you for your reply! He has been out for 9 months now but visited in between. He used H4 to come back and did not get new AP. We did file taxes. How do I know if the application is still valid and it's okay to use EAD?

    No I am not......the lawyer said we reapply either with the prevailing rate of EB2 or EB3.

    I spoke to another lawyer and she said as my 5th year end in the first week of Feb 09, I dont have much choice.......file another PERM immediately and concurrently find another company that has existing ads.

    To add to all this, I just came to know my company wants to transfer the file to another lawyer! I dont know if thats a good idea!

    Hello, I'm wondering what steps I need to take in order to help my husband become a US resident (eventually a citizen but one step at a time). I have figured out that we need to fill out an I-130 but I keep seeing everyone talk about an I-485 and I'm curious if we need to use that one as well, and how many others???

    Really quickly, our history: I'm a 19 year old US citizen by birth, and my husband is a 27 year old undocumented alien from Mexico. We just got married on Valentines day 2011 and I'm pregnant also which is why I would prefer to do this quickly as to prevent a possible deportation although he is an amazingly wonderful guy who's never had a run in with the law, it's just a constant concern of mine. =( He also has a 5 year old son from a previous marriage with an American woman (she cheated on him, and then divorced him) who we eventually would like to get custody for since his mother is a very bad person but that's another story.

    I realize this is a complicated process that most people would suggest using a lawyer for, but I know there's people out there that have accomplished this without one and so that is my goal to do this on our own but I'm thinking that some advice from experienced individuals would benefit me greatly in this task. =) Any help you're willing to give would be greatly appreciated!!     Yes but there is a section that says that you have to prove that you are admissible as an immigrant (I would like to think that means that you are not an illegal alien!) read here:

    `(1) IN GENERAL- The alien shall establish that the alien is admissible to the United States as immigrant, except as otherwise provided in paragraph

    But who knows!

    Anyway, it's positive that at least there is some "buzz" in the air

    I hope that Janet Napolitano and team will want to show quick fixes in order to differentiate themselves from the terrible Bush administration. Fixing legal immigration is relatively low-hanging fruit and way less controversial than Illegal imm. Thoughts? I am full of hope

    I apologize in advance if people think my post is inappropriate for this thread, but I couldn�t find the older thread I was looking for.

    I was wondering what happened with the discussion about the potential impacts of Canadian Immigration on US GC process. I had read before that UCSIC might consider it as an abandonment of the 485 application.

    I had applied for canadian immig as a back up and got a medical request form from Canadian Consul. I am planning to go ahead with it. Was hoping to find out if people have been landing in Canada in this post 485 filing world??

    Totally disagree. Only a small %age of employers pay the fees, rest is all borne by the applicant. This includes universities, companies etc. There are so many components of fees that everything is not covered by employer.

    Do most of the companies cover EAD (every year), Adv. parole (every year), I 485 etc.. fees. The arguemnt given by USCIS (read their website) for I 485 increase is that it will be processed in 6 months and therfore no need to apply for EAD and AP fees. The argument is fallible is that it does not counts retrogression adn name check, it is simply assumed everyone will get their I485 processed in 6 months.

    They are not using technology (because they can't hire more H1b and softwarre professional) but using the excessive money to support theeri old fashioned systems.

    What a mess 180% fees increase on most of the applications?

    I guess I am that lucky that my employer pays all the fees afterall. I also think it's a good idea to make it mandatory for the employers to carry the burden of the fees, at least through the I-485 filing process. Then if they refuse -- they definitely don't need a foreign laborer that much as they claim, it's only fair.
    But then again, opposition to the fees increase coming from the most well off group of prospective immigrants doesn't really pass a laugh test, especially with such immigration opponents as Sen. Sessions and Co. "If you are saying that you are here to contribute to our country and its economy -- start with the fees, please". I think that voicing too much opposition to the fees increase will only further alienate the coming immigration debate. We don't need it, it's gonna be tough enough without a cat fight over the fees matter.

    I sold the house on H1 and there was nothing addition for H1 holder. It is just that if you have that property for less than 2 years then you pay tax.

    Just thinking if the new law for GC approved like buy a house and get
    GC then what will happen for those like us who have house since 2004 and sold one and bought another in that time period.

    If a person is stuck in namecheck, or has an RFE... his/her case in not counted in II485 backlog at that time.

    You won't have any issue with Indian Emigration officials in India. They are well aware of advanced parole as a means of entry to US.

    Thanks for encouraging words. So can you confirm that the reentry to US does not require any other visa if one is carrying I-485 receipt and AP?

    Also, can somebody who traveled in such a share the experience with me?

    Is Canada an option? Its a safe bet to get it stamped in Canada.You will get your passport back the same day or the next. You shouldnt have any problem related to transit visa as long as you stay inside the airport.Check with the respective consulates.
